19 Arabic WhatsApp Templates for Saudi Businesses, With Category and Cost per 1,000
Copy-ready Arabic and English wording for the messages Saudi businesses send most — from a National Address request to a National Day offer — with the Meta category each one should land in, why it gets approved or rejected, and what 1,000 sends cost.
Short answer: in Saudi Arabia 1,000 delivered utility or authentication messages cost SAR 40.10 and 1,000 marketing messages cost SAR 215.90 under Meta's October 2026 rate card — so the most valuable skill in template writing is keeping transactional templates genuinely transactional. Below are 19 templates (13 utility, 1 authentication, 5 marketing), each in natural Arabic and English with numbered variables, approval notes and cost per 1,000. The rules that cause most rejections are simple: no variable at the very start or end, variables numbered in order, sample values supplied, and no promotion inside a utility template. QuickWA stores Arabic and English as two languages of one template and sends each customer their own, from $5/month with 0% markup on Meta's fees.
How to use this library
Submit each template as-is or with your brand added, with Arabic and English as two languages of the same template name. Meta requires a sample for every variable and says review can take up to 24 hours.
Three Meta rules shape every template here:
- Categories are decided by content. Utility templates must be non-promotional and either requested by or essential to the customer; any template that mixes an update with a promotion is marketing. Meta can reclassify a utility template as marketing after one day's notice; it keeps sending, at the marketing price.
- Variables must be clean — the rejection table further down lists the rules.
- Authentication is fixed text. One-time-password templates use Meta's preset wording; you cannot write your own.
The three templates in our Saudi setup guide — order confirmation, cash-on-delivery confirmation and appointment reminder — are not repeated here. This library covers the next 19.

Utility templates (SAR 40.10 per 1,000)
1. Opt-in confirmation
Hi {{1}}, you are now subscribed to order and appointment updates on WhatsApp. You can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP.
Why it passes: Meta lists opt-in management as a utility objective. It also gives you the consent record the PDPL expects — QuickWA logs the opt-in and turns a STOP reply into an opt-out automatically.
2. Order shipped with tracking
Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} has shipped with {{3}}. You can track it using the button below.
Why it passes: Meta's own utility example is "Your package from order … is on its way". Put the tracking link in a URL button, and never add a discount code.
3. Out for delivery today
Hi {{1}}, your order {{2}} is with the driver today. Please keep your phone available so the delivery goes smoothly.
Why it passes: purely about the order.
4. National Address request
Hi {{1}}, to ship your order {{2}} we need your short National Address (8 characters). You can find it in the SPL, Absher or Tawakkalna app — please send it to us here in this chat.
Why it matters: since 1 January 2026 carriers in the Kingdom must not accept parcels without a valid National Address. The customer's reply opens a 24-hour window, so follow-up questions are service messages. Our e-commerce guide covers the full flow.
5. Failed delivery attempt
Hi {{1}}, the driver tried to deliver your order {{2}} but could not reach you. Choose a new delivery time using the buttons below.
Why it passes: it is a response to an event on the customer's own order, with quick-reply buttons for "today evening" and "tomorrow".
6. Delivery delay notice
Hi {{1}}, we are sorry your order {{2}} is delayed. The new expected delivery date is {{3}}. If you would like to cancel and get a refund, just tell us here.
Why it matters: Article 14 of the E-Commerce Law requires sellers to tell consumers about expected delays, and lets them cancel for a refund if delivery is more than 15 days late. A dated message is your record.
7. Return request received
Hi {{1}}, we have received your return request for order {{2}}, and we will send you the return instructions within one working day.
Why it passes: the customer started the request. Only promise a timeline you can keep.
8. Refund processed
Hi {{1}}, a refund of SAR {{2}} for order {{3}} has been sent to your original payment method. It may take a few days to appear, depending on your bank.
Why it passes: an account update about money the customer is owed.
9. Invoice due reminder
Reminder: your invoice {{1}} for SAR {{2}} is due on {{3}}. Message us here if you have any questions about it.
Why it passes: Meta's own utility example is a payment reminder. For residential rent on new leases, point tenants to Ejar's payment channels rather than your own account — see our real-estate guide.
10. Payment received
Thank you {{1}}, we have received your payment of SAR {{2}} for invoice {{3}}. Your tax invoice will be sent to your email.
Why it passes: a receipt. It cuts "did you get my transfer?" calls.
11. Booking confirmed
Welcome {{1}}, your booking at {{2}} is confirmed for {{3}} at {{4}}. To change or cancel it, tap the button below.
Why it passes: works for restaurants, clinics, salons and viewings.
12. Missed appointment
Hi {{1}}, we noticed you could not make your appointment on {{2}}. If you would like to book a new one, tap the button below and we will help.
Why it can be rejected: add "and get 15% off your next visit" and it becomes marketing. Keep it neutral; your agent can offer the slot once the patient replies.
13. Feedback on a specific order
Hi {{1}}, how was your experience with order {{2}}? Choose a rating from the buttons below — your feedback matters to us.
Why it passes: Meta lists feedback on previous orders or engagements under utility. A generic "rate us on Google" sent to everyone is not tied to an order, and is more likely to be classed as marketing.
Authentication (SAR 40.10 per 1,000)
14. One-time password
You do not write this one. Meta's authentication templates use fixed preset text — "{{1}} is your verification code." — with an optional security line ("For your security, do not share this code.") and an optional expiry line between 1 and 90 minutes, plus a copy-code or one-tap autofill button. Meta supplies the preset wording for the template language you select, so there is nothing to translate.
Cost note: authentication sent by a business registered in Saudi Arabia is SAR 0.0401 per message; the international authentication rate, SAR 0.224, applies to businesses registered abroad. At 20,000 codes a month that is SAR 802 versus SAR 4,480.
Marketing templates (SAR 215.90 per 1,000)
Send these only to customers who opted in to marketing, and include an opt-out. Discount campaigns also need a discount licence before you advertise them, displayed so customers can verify it — see our Saudi marketing rules guide.
15. Abandoned cart reminder
Hi {{1}}, you left {{2}} in your cart and we have saved it for you. Complete your order with the button below. Reply STOP to stop offers.
Why it is marketing: Meta's own retargeting example is almost exactly this message. Send one reminder, not three.
16. White Friday offer
Welcome to White Friday at {{1}}: up to {{2}}% off selected items until the end of the week. Shop now with the button below. Reply STOP to stop offers.
Approval note: "up to" claims must be true for at least some items, and the E-Commerce Law bars misleading offers.
17. Ramadan greeting and iftar offer
Ramadan Kareem {{1}}, may your fasting be accepted. Our iftar menu at {{2}} is now open for bookings throughout the holy month. Book with the button below. Reply STOP to stop offers.
Timing: Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027. Submit Ramadan templates two to three weeks early and send after iftar, not during the fast.
18. Eid al-Fitr greeting
Eid Mubarak {{1}}, and best wishes to you and your family. We are glad to be part of your celebrations. Reply STOP to stop promotional messages.
Why it is marketing: a greeting sent as a broadcast has no transactional purpose, so Meta treats it as marketing even without an offer.
19. National Day offer
To celebrate Saudi National Day, {{1}} is offering {{2}}% off everything for three days. Shop with the button below. Reply STOP to stop offers.
Timing: National Day is 23 September and Founding Day is 22 February — in 2027 Founding Day falls inside Ramadan, so the tone should match. Dates are in our Saudi campaign calendar.
Why templates get rejected or reclassified
| Problem | What Meta does | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Body starts or ends with {{n}} | Rejects ("dangling parameters are not allowed") | Start with a greeting, end with a sentence |
| Variables out of order, e.g. {{1}} then {{3}} | Rejects | Number them 1, 2, 3 in reading order |
| Missing sample values | Rejects | Supply a realistic sample for every variable |
| Short message, many variables | Rejects | Keep fixed text around each variable |
| Utility template with a coupon or cross-sell | Classes it as marketing, or reclassifies it after a day's notice | Move the offer to a separate marketing template |
| Content that breaks WhatsApp's policies | Rejects | Check the Commerce Policy's prohibited items before submitting |
What reclassification costs
Suppose template 2, the shipping update, goes to 9,000 customers a month. As utility that is 9 × SAR 40.10 = SAR 360.90. If a promotional line made Meta reclassify it as marketing, the same sends would cost 9 × SAR 215.90 = SAR 1,943.10 — SAR 1,582.20 more every month for the same message. That is why every utility template above stays strictly about the customer's own order, booking or payment. The full rate card is in our Saudi pricing guide.
Writing Arabic that Saudi customers trust
- Clear Modern Standard Arabic with a warm Saudi touch — "حيّاك الله", "نرجو" — reads as professional; heavy dialect can look careless in a transactional message.
- Write "ريال" in Arabic, and keep order numbers and amounts as variables so digits display correctly in right-to-left text.
- Keep the opt-out keyword. STOP» because QuickWA turns STOP replies into opt-outs automatically; if a customer replies «إيقاف» or «توقف», have your team honour it by hand the same day.
Using these templates in QuickWA
QuickWA keeps Arabic (right-to-left) and English versions under one template name and triggers them from Salla, Foodics, Shopify and WooCommerce events, bookings and the developer API. Consent tracking records opt-ins and STOP replies, a sending window you set in Settings holds scheduled broadcasts, and A/B tests compare two marketing versions on a small segment first.
Plans start at $5/month, billed in USD, with no setup fee and no per-seat fees. Every plan, feature and message limit is shown after you sign up; AI, automation, calling and integrations are included from Pro. Meta invoices your own WhatsApp Business Account directly at its published rates — QuickWA adds 0% markup and holds no message credits. Start from our Saudi Arabia page.

Frequently asked questions
How much do 1,000 WhatsApp template messages cost in Saudi Arabia? +
Under Meta's October 2026 Saudi rate card, 1,000 delivered utility or authentication messages cost SAR 40.10 and 1,000 marketing messages cost SAR 215.90. Authentication sent by a business registered abroad costs SAR 224 per 1,000.
Why was my Arabic WhatsApp template rejected? +
The most common reasons are a variable at the very start or end of the body, variables out of order, missing sample values, or too many variables for a short message. Start with a greeting, end with a sentence, and number variables 1, 2, 3.
Can I write my own Arabic OTP message? +
No. Authentication templates use Meta's fixed preset text in the language you choose, with an optional security line, an optional expiry time and a copy-code or one-tap button.
Is a Ramadan or Eid greeting a utility message? +
No. A greeting sent as a broadcast has no transactional purpose, so Meta treats it as marketing, charged at SAR 0.2159 per delivered message in Saudi Arabia. Send it only to opted-in customers.
Can QuickWA send Arabic and English versions of the same template? +
Yes. QuickWA stores them as two languages of one template and sends each customer their preferred language. Plans start at $5/month and Meta bills message fees directly, with 0% markup.
