No markup on Meta messaging fees: what that does and does not mean

Understand QuickWA's no-markup policy without confusing it with free messages, free software or unlimited provider usage.

Ask what "no markup" refers to before treating it as a price. It might describe one line of an invoice while leaving the platform subscription, AI usage and number rental untouched. That is not necessarily a problem. An unclear explanation is.

QuickWA does not add a markup to Meta messaging fees. Our software subscription is separate. Meta messaging and calling charges, AI provider usage and separately rented numbers are not made free by that policy. A tax, currency conversion or external provider charge is also not the same thing as a QuickWA markup on a Meta messaging fee.

Read a quote in layers

The first layer is the workspace: the inbox, team tools, campaigns and automation included with your plan. The second is the underlying messaging service. The third is the optional work you choose, such as AI consumption, an extra number or a managed service.

Put each layer on a separate row. Then ask who sets its price, who bills it and what changes with usage. Do not use the phrase "WhatsApp cost" for all three rows and expect the finance team to reconcile them later.

A small example, without a made-up saving

Imagine two quotes with the same software subscription. One says messaging is passed through; the other adds a handling charge. To compare them, use the same expected message mix and destination countries. Also check whether a service reply attracts a provider charge. A lower subscription could still produce the higher total.

This is an illustration of the comparison method, not a claim about an unnamed competitor. We do not publish a percentage saving unless the workload, current rates and calculation are all available.

Free messages and software quotas are different

A message that attracts no Meta charge can still count toward a software plan's quota. A campaign can also fit inside your QuickWA quota while attracting applicable Meta charges. Check Meta's current pricing page rather than assuming every response, template or destination has the same cost.

For QuickWA, messages sent through campaigns, templates, forms and automation count toward the relevant plan allowance. Unlimited template creation does not mean unlimited campaign delivery. The dashboard explains the quota attached to your subscription.

Ask these questions before you commit

  • Which charge is the software subscription?
  • Is a provider fee added to incoming or outgoing messages?
  • Which features or usage require a separate payment?
  • What is the renewal term, and when does cancellation take effect?
  • Which invoice or usage record lets us reconcile the charge?

A useful answer names each cost instead of repeating "all included." Keep that answer with the quote. It is much easier to resolve a billing question when the original agreement is specific.

The QuickWA starting point

Plans start at $5/month. Detailed prices and message limits are in dashboard Billing. One USA virtual number is included on eligible paid plans while subscribed; separate number rentals renew independently. Choose the plan for the work you need, then budget the applicable external usage alongside it.

No. It means QuickWA adds no markup to Meta messaging fees. The subscription and applicable external usage charges remain separate.
Can a message with no Meta charge count toward my QuickWA quota?
