Your first Cloud API campaign: a useful message beats a bigger list
Plan one relevant WhatsApp campaign with an audience rationale, message purpose, reply ownership and an honest cost check.
The easiest campaign to assemble is not always the one worth sending. Uploading every contact and adding a discount takes little thought. Deciding who would genuinely welcome the message takes more work, and usually makes the campaign easier to explain.
Start with one audience and one purpose. An illustrative example is customers who asked to hear when a particular item returns to stock. That is a much clearer brief than "send something to everyone before the weekend."
Write the audience reason before the copy
Describe where the audience came from and why the message fits. Keep the relevant permission record and respect requests to stop. For platform-specific requirements, use the current WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, not a campaign-size rule someone posted in a forum.
Ask whether a person who receives the message would recognize the business and understand why it arrived. If the answer depends on a distant transaction nobody remembers, choose a better audience rather than a more persuasive opening line.
Make the next step easy to answer
For the back-in-stock example, say which item returned and how to ask about availability. Do not put five unrelated offers in the same message. Do not imply that a product is reserved if it is not. Ask the person approving the copy to check every factual claim against current information.
Choose the applicable template and category through the official setup. Keep the approved message separate from a later promotional rewrite, so the team knows what is actually being sent.
Plan the reply workload
A campaign is also an invitation to a conversation. Before scheduling it, decide who handles replies and what happens when a customer asks a stock, price or delivery question. A campaign launched while the team is unavailable can create a queue rather than a useful result.
QuickWA's shared inbox and assignments can keep replies organized. On eligible plans, pipeline, journeys and auto replies can support the next step. Use those tools to complete the customer interaction, not to schedule an endless chain of nudges.
Check the allowance and the bill
Campaign messages consume the relevant QuickWA message quota. A plan that permits unlimited template creation does not permit unlimited deliveries. External messaging charges are separate; consult the current Meta pricing and your dashboard before committing to the send.
Budget for the full workload, including the customer support that follows. A technically deliverable campaign can still be a poor choice if the team cannot fulfill what it offers.
Use the first result to learn one thing
Review delivery and reply patterns, questions that repeated and any requests to stop. Ask whether the intended next step happened. Reads are useful context, but they are not the same as fulfilled orders or resolved enquiries.
For a later comparison, change one meaningful element rather than changing the audience, timing and offer at once. A/B testing on eligible plans can help structure that comparison; it does not make a weak offer useful.
QuickWA plans start at $5/month. Pick the plan for your actual message workload in dashboard Billing. There is no universally safe campaign size and no tool that replaces customer expectations.
